Strawberry Puff : Lif

Finished a coaster with the Turkish traditional crochet method that is used when making body towels called "Lif".

* Strawberry Puff Coaster *
Pattern
Punto stella - uncinetto by Simona Bresciani
Materials
Munsell Supima Lace Thread #20 Kasuri
Tools
Hook : 1.5mm (JPN#2)

I heard these types of body towels are often crocheted with Acrylic paralleled yarn in Turky.
Soft and plump stitches are heaty and it's fun to keep crocheting.

      I am sorry for the late reply. I've been in bed with a flu.

      I used previously dyed cotton yarn for crochet which is variegated with white and pink.
      This yarn was made in Japan, but I guess Lizbeth has similar yarn too :)

  2. thank you so much! sorry for the flu... is it cold in Japan right now? hope you're feeling better! I'll look for it in this shop even if it would be difficult: it's my first time with crochet! I just learned the pattern with wool.. and it's wonderful! I fell in love with your coaster and your colors are simply perfect!

      Yes, it's cold in Japan and this year's flu season started earlier than usual.

      Oh, your first crochet!
      I used #20 yarn for this but thicker ones (#3 or #10) may be better for a beginner.
      Hope you enjoy your first crochet :)
